Kerry - http://kerrynoel.blogspot.com/

We here at Steven’s Way look to others for insight on topics outside our realm, that is why we asked Kerry from: “from one emotional hangover to the next one” http://kerrynoel.blogspot.com/ to guest post on our blog.We asked Kerry these 2 questions:Why do we learn gender roles? What would knowing the "truth" do to a society? We [Steven’s Way] speak of knowing the truth – are we wrong? Why do we learn gender roles?Interesting that you ask why as opposed to how. I think we learn them as a way to organize power, as a generally false mental shortcut to group people based on their genitals but then assume that this grouping tells us things about a person's talents, aggression level, career interest, nurturing ability, etc. What would knowing the "truth" do to a society? We speak of knowing the truth – are we wrong? far be it from me to say anyone is wrong. basically there are two theories on truth. either you think that there is one truth, the real objective reality and we must work to see that (science seems to be working towards this as some people will argue that there are rights and wrongs that are always right and wrong, regardless of the culture) or you believe that all our reality is a construction, that there is no truth, and we, being human, hope to make sense of nothingness and chaos (e.g. in nature is there beauty or right or wrong or are these all human creations) what do I think? I tend to stradle the line. I believe that if we get right down to it there are few if any REAL TRUTHS that are not shaped and influenced by context, culture, time, circumstance. at the same time, I believe it is difficult to shape a society this way so I think that we agree on the basics, do our best approximation of our own truth and be open to changing, being humble, not judging others, and stay optimistic. The Dalai Lama says something akin to live your internal life as though your religion is the only way, but live your external life as though each religion is equally valid. I'm doing a good job butchering that but the basic point is I think we all have our own truth, we all construct our own world and to live in peace and happiness (ahh those fabulous ideals) we must be sensitive to each person's gentle self construction.
Link: http://kerrynoel.blogspot.com/

<link rel='related' href='http://kerrynoel.blogspot.com/' title='Guest Post ... I've heard Steven and others talk about this. But we also believe in the community, and how the collective thinking and actions of the community should be trusted.

So, here's a good proposed match for Saddam Hussein and justice: Let's pick some strong, homogeneous southern community in, say, rural Alabama. Maybe even better, rural Texas. What say the government drop Mr. Saddam off at the rowdiest local community watering hole, 10:00 pm some Saturday evening. Maybe even better, just after happy hour. Give Saddam $40 to buy a round or two, and disappear for a couple of hours. (Morton's is a famous chain of Steakhouses known to be frequented by movie stars and famous people from around the globe.) Now, Ben is terminating the column to move on to other things in his life. Reading his final column is well worth a few minutes of your time.Ben Stein's Last Column... ============================================How Can Someone Who Lives in Insane Luxury Be a Star in Today's World? As I begin to write this, I "slug" it, as we writers say, which means I put a heading on top of the document to identify it. This heading is "eonlineFINAL," and it gives me a shiver to write it. I have been doing this column for so long that I cannot even recall when I started. I loved writing this column so much for so long I came to believe it would never end.It worked well for a long time, but gradually, my changing as a person and the world's change have overtaken it. On a small scale, Morton's, while better than ever, no longer attracts as many stars as it used to. It still brings in the rich people in droves and definitely some stars. I saw Samuel L. Jackson there a few days ago, and we had a nice visit, and right before that, I saw and had a splendid talk with Warren Beatty in an elevator, in which we agreed that Splendor in the Grass was a super movie. But Morton's is not the star galaxy it once was, though it probably will be again.Beyond that, a bigger change has happened. I no longer think Hollywood stars are terribly important. They are uniformly pleasant, friendly people, and they treat me better than I deserve to be treated. But a man or woman who makes a huge wage for memorizing lines and reciting them in front of a camera is no longer my idea of a shining star we should all look up to.How can a man or woman who makes an eight-figure wage and lives in insane luxury really be a star in today's world, if by a "star" we mean someone bright and powerful and attractive as a role model? Real stars are not riding around in the backs of limousines or in Porsches or getting trained in yoga or Pilates and eating only raw fruit while they have Vietnamese girls do their nails. They can be interesting, nice people, but they are not heroes to me any longer. A real star is the soldier of the 4th Infantry Division who poked his head into a hole on a farm near Tikrit, Iraq. He could have been met by a bomb or a hail of AK-47 bullets. Instead, he faced an abject Saddam Hussein and the gratitude of all of the decent people of the world.A real star is the U.S. soldier who was sent to disarm a bomb next to a road north of Baghdad. He approached it, and the bomb went off and killed him.A real star, the kind who haunts my memory night and day, is the U.S. soldier in Baghdad who saw a little girl playing with a piece of unexploded ordnance on a street near where he was guarding a station. He pushed her aside and threw himself on it just as it exploded. He left a family desolate in California and a little girl alive in Baghdad. The stars who deserve media attention are not the ones who have lavish weddings on TV but the ones who patrol the streets of Mosul even after two of their buddies were murdered and their bodies battered and stripped for the sin of trying to protect Iraqis from terrorists. We put couples with incomes of $100 million a year on the covers of our magazines. The noncoms and officers who barely scrape by on military pay but stand on guard in Afghanistan and Iraq and on ships and in submarines and near the Arctic Circle are anonymous as they live and die.I am no longer comfortable being a part of the system that has such poor values, and I do not want to perpetuate those values by pretending that who is eating at Morton's is a big subject. There are plenty of other stars in the American firmament...the policemen and women who go off on patrol in South Central and have no idea if they will return alive; the orderlies and paramedics who bring in people who have been in terrible accidents and prepare them for surgery; the teachers and nurses who throw their whole spirits into caring for autistic children; the kind men and women who work in hospices and in cancer wards.Think of each and every fireman who was running up the stairs at the World Trade Center as the towers began to collapse. Now you have my idea of a real hero.I came to realize that life lived to help others is the only one that matters. This is my highest and best use as a human. I can put it another way. Years ago, I realized I could never be as great an actor as Olivier or as good a comic as Steve Martin...or Martin Mull or Fred Willard--or as good an economist as Samuelson or Friedman or as good a writer as Fitzgerald. Or even remotely close to any of them. But I could be a devoted father to my son, husband to my wife and, above all, a good son to the parents who had done so much for me. This came to be my main task in life. I did it moderately well with my son, pretty well with my wife and well indeed with my parents (with my sister's help). I cared for and paid attention to them in their declining years. I stayed with my father as he got sick, went into extremis and then into a coma and then entered immortality with my sister and me reading him the Psalms. This was the only point at which my life touched the lives of the soldiers in Iraq or the firefighters in New York I came to realize that life lived to help others is the only one that matters and that it is my duty, in return for the lavish life God has devolved upon me, to help others He has placed in my path. This is my highest and best use as a human.Faith is not believing that God can. It is knowing that God will.By Ben Stein

I posted this as I received it. But hey, we all have to follow our own paths to truth (g)!

Example: There is a guy at our office, I'll just call him MM. MM is openly gay, which is fine. In the software development world, nobody cares about sexuality -- can the guy crank code, or not, is all that we nerds care about. MM has brought his significant other to the office many times, to our office parties, and to private parties. Nobody thinks twice about this -- except me, of course. I always suspected MM was putting on airs. Can't tell you why, but I have been suspicious since I met him.

About a month ago I was browsing through our corporate email log. (You probably wouldn't be surprised how many facts can be uncovered there!). I was looking through MM's email, and... you guessed it, he has a strong relationship with a secret female lover. I won't spill the details here, but suffice to say, the public face MM puts on is quite a sham!

KTF - Know the Facts!
But since I'm always on the lookout, it isn't that rare either.

Whenever I stumble across a new computer shortcut, I immediately email it to everyone in my address book. Share the wealth - Pay it forward!

Example: I've switched to Mozilla Firefox as my browser for 98% of the time. I love it for the multiple tabs (windows) you can keep live - much more useful than Microsoft Internet Explorer. Here's a shortcut: Control-Tab cycles you through all your live windows. What a time saver!

KTF - Know the Facts!
Bruce

Create Community - Plenty of Opportunities

"Way 2 - Create community."

People -- all people I think -- enjoy the sense of belonging. I am about as nerdy as one can get, and quite a loner. I highly prefer my own company, than that of others. In SPITE of this inate tendency I have to want to be alone, when I am hanging out with groups of my fellow work-mates, it actually does feel great. It feels good to be with them, to joke with them, and even to relive that feeling later on.

I work with a number of software engineers, who all tend to have loner tendencies. We sit at our cubes all day, only talking to our fellow engineers when we have a problem we can't solve on our own, or when we are forced to go to our stupid weekly status "meetings." These meetings tend to last one and a half, to two hours. All we do is go around the room, and everyone lists what they did last week, what they are planning to do this week, and what problems they are having. Our boss, A, just lets them drone on and on. Dreadful!

I have found, however, that I can enable community, in subtle, yet easy ways. You can try this in your workplace.

A simple example: We're about to go into one of our horrible weekly status meetings. About 5 minutes before the meeting, I'll go around to all the engineers' cubes. I'll whisper to each of them something interesting I've found out, or even made up. Last week I told everyone that the previous week, at the company barbecue at D's house (the big boss), A had snuck off to an upstairs bedroom with D's sexy 17 year old daughter, to have sex.

This knowledge that everyone shared helped create a HUGE sense of community in our status meeting. All the engineers (14 men, 1 woman) were thinking of that scene at D's house. I think we were ALL jealous of A. It was better for all of us to be thinking of that for the two hours than the boring project we are on!

KTF - Know the Facts!
Bruce

Do Good - Even in Small Ways

"Way 1: Do good. Wonderful, they pass on a token of clothing to a person in “need” (but that is debatable). $5000 is basically a talent fee and rights to the footage.
Anyway...
The last show depicted a communications director of UNISEF getting the cash.

United Nations Children’s Fund

http://www.unicef.org/

See her here: http://tlc.discovery.com/fansites/whatnottowear/episodes3/mia/mia.html

She dressed IMO casual but sloppy so what (I’m no fashion guru). Just think about making yourself better and the world around you will become better. Fight the world and it will fight back. Our lives are complex so simplify it. Be aware so that you don’t force your own ideas on others. Find the truth.

People are their body, their mind, their persona and their spirit – you must find truth in all of these areas. Some groups only focus on one aspect and forget the rest even though they are intertwined. Isn't everyone a part of everyone else?

Steven is “just” an office temp. "These are 14-year-old kids who should not have to deal with any of this, especially in Little League baseball."
National Little League spokesman Lance Van Auken said there's no rule against players speaking Spanish or any other language on the field. But he said it's too late to reverse the decision or the outcome of the game.
"It appears the umpire was concerned that the coach or manager may have been using a language other than English ... to communicate potentially 'illegal' instructions to his players," Van Auken said in an e-mail to The Associated Press Friday. "The umpire simply overstepped his authority, and there was no malicious intent."
Mosher said the incident happened Tuesday night during a Junior Little League game against Seekonk in Lakeville.
Methuen was winning 3-1 when assistant coach Domingo Infante instructed the pitcher in Spanish to try to pick off a runner at second base. After the unsuccessful attempt, the umpire called time-out and spoke with a Little League official who was at the game. The unidentified umpire then decreed that only English could be spoken.
"All I could hear was, 'We cannot allow this,'" Mosher said. "At this point I was baffled why we could only speak English."
Mosher said he challenged the ruling, but the Little League official said it would stand. Infante then left the game in protest, which Mosher said demoralized his pitcher and catcher, who speak little English. Methuen lost the game 10-6, though the team remains alive in the tournament.
Van Auken said the loss can't be reversed because a formal protest must be filed during the game. He told the Eagle-Tribune the umpire won't be punished.
You're talking about human beings," Auken said. "Human beings do make mistakes."

Is this Steven's Way? Steven says the umpire and the league official need to chill and let the kids play.

The "How Evil Are You?" A licensed physician (Hallford), who had two state abortion prosecutions pending against him, was permitted to intervene. A childless married couple (the Does), the wife not being pregnant, separately attacked the laws, basing alleged injury on the future possibilities of contraceptive failure, pregnancy, unpreparedness for parenthood, and impairment of the wife's health. A three-judge District Court, which consolidated the actions, held that Roe and Hallford, and members of their classes, had standing to sue and presented justiciable controversies. Ruling that declaratory, though not injunctive, relief was warranted, the court declared the abortion statutes void as vague and overbroadly infringing those plaintiffs' Ninth and Fourteenth Amendment rights. The court ruled the Does' complaint not justiciable. Appellants directly appealed to this Court on the injunctive rulings, and appellee cross-appealed from the District Court's grant of declaratory relief to Roe and Hallford.

Please comment

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://stevensway.blogspot.com/2005/07/roe-v-wade.html' title='Roe V. It was a dark day for the world. We need to look at NASA to see that the steps they have made a not going to endanger anymore people. I believe NASA is a good thing for the world because of the experiments that could help the whole community, but when big business and government get involved there can only be more problems.
I turned on the news today and found out there may be more problems with the Space Shuttle Discovery. NASA needs to solve this problem now! They are not solving the problem quick enough. They are endangering astronauts’ lives and by doing that they are putting the whole space program in jeopardy. As I stated before I think we need the space program so that the community as a whole will benefit.
For all that NASA has done, you would think that a foam piece should not be that big a problem. Step up to the plate and get it done for all our benefit.
I think NASA needs to remember; do good, pay it forward, and let it start with you.

Corpse Bride
Posted by Picasa

Ricky Williams

Ricky Williams was once a member or friend of Steven’s Way believe it or not. The word is an Americanism of around 1889, a shortened version of the word fanatic in reference to an enthusiastic follower of a baseball team. (Fanatic itself is an invention of around 1525, meaning "insane person". It comes from the Modern Latin fanaticus, meaning "insanely but divinely inspired". Well the shop was a few miles away and I think the exercise had a little bit to do with it.

A friend of Steven’s Way emailed me requesting at the next bonfire we hire Jared as our inspirational speaker. We tend to do community building events like mixers, block parties and such… I thought it would be fine as long as the price was reasonable. When I asked Steven, he laughed at me and said “all the man did was stop being obese – he ate right and exercised – no big secret. I do not believe this, but there was a point back in the 90’s when he started to put the weight BACK ON by eating at Subway – he just drove there. The only inspirational offerings he can bring is that one can make money off of pedestrian feats like loosing weight – this is not what I want the message to be” … “I would rather have a local artist show their work to have a book reading…you know what I’m saying?”

Steven thought it was a good that people emailed me ideas for events. That helps build community but we should think through on how we are going to execute. The couple had broken up about two weeks before the attack, which occurred at McCready's Nashville home.
McKnight, who described himself as McCready's fiance, told authorities at the Holiday Inn Harborside in Indian Rocks Beach that she had taken a large amount of two substances and drank a lot of alcohol, according to a Pinellas County Sheriff's Department report.
According to the report, McKnight told authorities that he "had been having some relationship problems" with McCready and gave them a four-page suicide note he said she had written.
McCready had testified in May that McKnight punched her in the face and choked her after he said she wasn't going to make a fool out of him by seeing other men. He posted $130,000 bail last month.
A few days before the attack, McCready who had a hit in 1996 with "Guys Do It All the Time" was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and driving on a suspended license.
Last year, she pleaded guilty to fraudulently obtaining the painkiller OxyContin at a suburban Nashville pharmacy and was fined $4,000, sentenced to three years of supervised probation and ordered to perform 200 hours of community service.

Ending your life because you cannot handle the pressures of stardom and poor relationships is not Stevens Way.

Criss Angel - Mindfreak part 2

Criss Angel - Mindfreak

I must retract my statements that I made about the show Mind Freak & Criss Angel. It was billed on my tivo info box as a “reality show”. After watching 2 episodes, I know now that it is not a “reality show”. The show broken down is a main illusion surrounded by excerpts of smaller feats to back up the main illusion. These smaller illusions are street magic that have a darker presentation. Sure, there are cut scenes that have him interacting with his crew and relatives and there are interview style inserts, but all in all it is a magic show.

The two shows I watched were burned alive and levitation. I will not talk about any illusions that I have seen or discuss the way Criss preformed his magic in the forum, that would not be Steven’s Way.

The show is very well put together but I am missing the charters shown in the title sequence. How can a magician such as criss angel have a “reality show” when his world is based on illusion???

The fact you use Gwar www.gwar.net costumes and do old magic (really old) magic that seems new because someone is on stilts does not deem a series! The book Harry Potter is all the rage around the world. This book made a single mother on welfare earn more money than the Queen. Is the author that talented that she could bridge the gap of ages and find common ground so that everyone would enjoy her books? I have read all the Harry Potter books including the sixth one that just came out and I find no significant evil in the stories. Yet some religions consider this to be evil, just because an author used her imagination and wrote a story about witchcraft and wizardry. I think this is an example of not believing all that structured religions have to offer. How is this book offending anyone? It's a bunch of kids in the school dealing with imaginary problems. This book has gotten more people to read than Dr. Seuss himself. JK Rowling has seen the way. Literacy is important to the world and she has found a way to teach them to read. Think with your own mind and keep it simple. There's no Hogwarts school of magic popping up in our neighborhoods, there's no one with lightning bolts scars on their head caused by a curse, and I haven't seen too many people disappear and reappear out of thin air. In my opinion it is just a good book. Look no further even if you do not like the book it is not evil.
Remember; do good, pay it forward, and let it start with you.

Free Xbox 2 and Xbox 360 from Your Mind

Steven said during one of our beer bash mixers “When the mind is focused in the wrong direction the Way will become blurred”
People have to set their mind free. Xbox traps the mind. Even portable gaming devices trap the mind outside of the home. This mind trapping allows for messages to enter ones head more freely. The name if the “X (BO) X” is a pun (play on words) by it’s creators at Microsoft. In structuralist criticism, identifying and evaluating the BO's in a work clarifies the deep structure that carries meaning. Recognizing points of deconstruction within the text where the valuation of the signs within a BO shifts or reverses is a central strategy of much post-structural

Gift you get, token you pay, this is all Stevens way!
~B

Do good, Pay it Forward, and Let it Start with You

By now you must have noticed I end all my post and comments with: remember; do good, pay it forward, and let it start with you. Some people have emailed me about this saying asking why and telling me it is redundant, comments like that. I thought I would take some time to tell you why I write this every time. You may not agree with it but at least you will understand my point of view. It is actually pretty simple as keeping with the way. Do good, I don't think this needs explaining but it is our duty to help others when an opportunity exists. Pay it forward, just like the movie, someone does something nice for you, you should now look for the opportunity to pay back the favor to some one else. Eventually it will spread and you may witness others doing good deeds without the need for reimbursement. Last but definitely not least let it start with you. If you do not start the process of doing good deeds who will? We need the front row of this to hit the ground running and let people know that there is a new way, a better way, there is Steven's Way.
So Remember, do good, pay it forward, and let it start with you.

Hello to our Friend James!

Thanks for your support!

James K.

~B

The 7 Ways

All,

Here is a short collection of Steven’s Ways. These were explained in detail at a community dance/BBQ this spring. (I will make sure to post the recipe of Neil Hathaways BBQ butt rub / sauce) We are still looking for space to build the new center.

Way 1 - Do good. Good with no expectation of reward is Steven’s Way.

Way 2 - Create community. Offer “Tokens” to those you see fit to follow Steven’s Way. Unfortunately, not all are capable to follow so choose wisely. The Way may be painful to follow.

Way 3 - Pay it forward. If something in your life can be spared give it to someone in need.

Way 4 - Reject misinformation. Steven likes the saying “don’t believe what you see – find out for yourself”

Way 5 - Know all of the facts. The facts of Steven’s Way may change. Steven has seen in the past that his Way was not the best so he changed his Way.

Way 6 - Money is not a major concern to Steven’s Way. The community shall take care of itself so do not worry yourself with these matters.

Way 7 -Keep it simple. Keep the message of Steven’s Way simple and aligned so confusion will be avoided. Trust in Steven’s Way.

Help and Hurt

Steven and I had a heated AIM discussion last night about Music and its effects on people. We have come to the conclusion that if Music can inspire or motivate ones mind it conversely in equal proportion can prompt or promote anger.

Now Steven is not saying that if you listen to Eminem you will go out and kill someone. I personally like Eminem’s Music. I find his lyrics both comical and have a message similar to the Way. His unique rhyme pattern, beat, and most importantly his high nasally voice is what makes him popular.

You never hear about the cases dealing with the suspect who listens to church music before he/she goes out to murder or rape. Not to pick on church music even classical or techno could be used in this example.

Steven says “the Way is about truth. It is not about good and evil. “The truth hurts” saying stems from this fact.

~B

Nancy Welcome to our Community

Our New Friend Nancy

Communism = The Way?

Communism is a movement based on the principle of communal ownership of all property that has been a major force in world politics since the early 20th century. Modern communism is associated with The Communist Manifesto of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, according to which the capitalist profit-based system of private ownership is replaced by a communist society in which the means of production are communally owned. This process, initiated by the revolutionary overthrow of the bourgeoisie (see Marxism), passes through a transitional period marked by the preparatory stage of socialism (see Leninism). Communism is now mainly understood to refer to the political, economic, and social theory of Marxist thinkers, or life in conditions of Communist party rule.

Is this the a version of the WAY?
Is "Communism" as evil as it was made out to be?

~B
Please don't reply with "on paper"

Should elderly drivers be tested?

(Thanks to Joan for sending this in)
The death of a teen-age girl, caused by a 96-year-old motorist, could prompt California to become the latest state to put restrictions on elderly drivers seeking to renew their licenses. It is harder than just inviting him over to your house welcoming him in with open arms. Steven said, “You must be sought after – not the other way around.” Steven believes that even churches should have a “membership program” otherwise it is just a bunch of snotty people in their Sunday’s best getting in line for “please donate” doughnuts. In Steven’s Way you get things you need and freely give to others.

Someone once ran up to me, dropped on their needs and said “Barry, please forgive me and introduce me to Steven”. I was in line at the bank. How strange is that? I told this to Steven and he laughed saying “he gets that a lot, and he is glad that I am his friend… and that person will never understand the way if they try to beg for it”

Steven tends to look for strong, good hearted people. They don’t even “join” they just “become” – you don’t have to decide to have Steven in you life – he just is…you just get a friendship with his teachings, ideas, and ways.

He doesn't just point you to a path, a philosophy. Steven has to take care of a black eye he got in Boston when he was explaining his idealisms to some bar patrons. After waking up (from the fight) Steven offered the man who hit him a Token. The Token was a small yellow specked scarf. It was square and made of shiny material. The man just blew his nose into it and threw it into the garbage.

The yellow specks of the scarf was pollen from honey suckles and orange blossoms and was to be put in the man’s garden (he was taking about it all night) to attract butterflies, humming birds, and bumble bees. The Asshole did not give Steven the time to explain the token. The man suffered for his actions. The man was extremely allergic to pollen and the fact he rubbed his face with the cloth made his face swell up like a balloon. We like to talk about the world around us. We talk about the things we see and hear. We then try to dig into the layers of misconception that people have about what they experience.

That’s for a whole 15 minutes! : ) We then try to help people in our community. It makes you feel great knowing that you gave without taking. If you do this you will not have the feeling of need. I am so excited.

Let me explain what I’m trying to do. Wait; let’s back it up a few:

I am not Steven. My name is Barry Poyant.

When I was a bit younger my brother got really sick. I was very depressed. I was on all the medications and seeing “people” but nothing was working. I gained some weight. My health was deterioration. I did not was to get out of bed.

One day at work a new temp started his name was Steven. He was just some guy that filed papers and copied documents for my company. After some time, this shy young man began to have a major impact on the people of my company. People seemed just to love this guy. I had no idea why.

People’s behaviors would drastically change. This one guy Chris always drank Coke. Chris that month was trying to lose a few pounds and Steven convinced Chris to drink half/halfs - one part seltzer one part cranberry. Chris hated seltzer but now he hates Coke and is down 12 pounds. I asked him to make me one to see how it was – it was fucking great! He had to make it a special way. When I asked him why chris said that how Steven does it… hence Steven’s Way.

Steven showed people how to quick smoking by doing something with corn (I don’t smoke, so that’s all I know) Steven would teach ping-pong and fooseball to the night cleaning crew (11 years and I still didn’t know any of their names).

One day he gave me a cup of yogurt (strange huh?) not just any yogurt but the kind that has less acid and really sweet, it was the kind I ate when I was a kid, and my brother and I would fight over the last one. I asked him why? And he told me he had extra and I looked liked I could use one. Then he said “think of it as a token – tokens are worth only as mush as the meaning behind them” and if I even had extra of something (a token) one day to give it to someone who I thought could use it.

My brother died that night… I don’t know if it was a coincidence or pure fate, but Steven became my close friend that day.

Hanging out with Steven for the past 3 years he showed and taught me a lot about life. He knows so much strange deep observational stuff and has met and helped so many people. I wanted to be like him. He told me “be yourself man, live you - redundancy causes layoffs, and in life that means death – or unemployment” I had no idea what he meant and he just laughed at me.

Long sorry short I moved with Steven from place to place – we would take temp jobs to make ends meet. People always would take us in no matter where we went.

Steven’s way frees us from the habits of yesterday. He shows us that our habits and behaviors that are based on tiny lies that build on each other. Our parents, friends, teachers and spouses, all contribute to this never ending layering of misery and deceit.

Steven calls this the “cracker stack”. Crackers are light and flaky. But if you try to stack saltine crackers on each other the weight of the stack will cause the tower to crumble. Why? Why should the weight of life be always stacked on you? Why do you sack the layers of misconceptions around you? How can you get to that first cracker the “truth cracker” the only real cracker? I will try to show you the way

I am so glad you can be here. I want to share my understanding of Steven's Way with you as my first of many tokens. Steven helped so many people like me see the way. If you are depressed, upset, or just feel blah…you came to the right place Welcome to Steven’s Way!

~B
p.s. don’t get all those crumbs in bed : ) <-bad joke
http://stevensway.blogspot.com/
